Tides by Sara Teasdale

I watched The Forest movie and the horror movie reminded me of Sara Teasdale. She always has this thing in writing a pretty poem describing about feelings we experience in our love journey. I aint saying that Tides resembles exactly my feeling rn but for me this poem does help those couples who no longer have spark in their love.

Love in my heart was a fresh tide flowing
Where the starlike sea gulls soar;
The sun was keen and the foam was blowing
High on the rocky shore.

But now in the dusk the tide is turning,
Lower the sea gulls soar,
And the waves that rose in resistless yearning
Are broken forevermore.

Time sure flies fast. It has been 40 days since the day Grand Papi left us.I always remember your great stories during pre independence years, you shared your political percents and how u were so thrilled about evening stroll just looking at construction sites as it reminded u of ur glorious time when u were able to walk on ur own. How I wish God would give me more time to repay you for your significant grandfather influence in me when i was a child.

That spot right here still feels as if u were here watching us in silence, shusshing  us whenever we all too carried away with laughter and chats at nights.

I miss you and I hope you are doing well there among those who are blessed among the blessed ones. I will always love you and we all love you so much it hurts that when we are home, you are no longer on this bed. Sleep well. Al - Fatihah.
